this is Vegas my Leopard Gecko.. My girlfriend and I picked her up for $35 from my local pet shop. There was another leo in there that had a tail drop and Vegas was the better looking one in my eyes:main_thumbsup: I noticed at the time of purchase that the crickets were not supplemented that were in the cage, nor was there a calcium cap/dish for them to hit up when they feel the need.. she was also quite thin but nothing deadly, doing my research and moving up to a 20 gallon long tank that I found a great deal on I was on my way with my first adventure into herps.. I got home with Vegas and she was curious in the box I brought her home in lookin around wondering what just happen on the 10 minute journey home. I eagerly setup my terrarium for her.. running a UTH on a ReptiTemp Rheostat and a 40w Nocturnal Red bulb on 24/7 for viewing and minimal heat as It is rised above and not resting.. temps are 74-80 on the cool side and 88-92 depending if she lays on top of the probe.. otherwise Its a stable 89-90 when shes off it.. humidity levels have never hit over 60% in the terrarium.. reads stable around 47% after having her home for the first day, I went back into the cage to rearrange the look of things and she started to crawl up my arm and hang on.. woke up the next morning to find the mealworms and crickets I put in the cage were gone and there was some poop in the far corner all good signs.. :main_thumbsup: she is starting to thicken up now, I plan to weigh once I find a cheap scale, I run Mon-Fri Flukers ReptiCalcium, Saturday - Herpcare Calcium with D3, Sunday - ReptiVite Multivitamins.. lid of Flukers calcium in the cage at all times.. hopefully she'll be happier then she was at the store, considering Im supplementing and feeding her gutloaded crickets/mealies.. but she looks alot happier about life since I got her.
no idea on the type but I did notice some carrot coloring in the tail.. anything special? I think shes starting a shed period while taking these pics I could basically see a translucent layer of skin wrinkled up down her body, also looks a little pale, but you tell me.. sorry about the story book but this is my little introduction for her. Male/Female I looked at her underside and didnt see any pores.. so Im leaning towards female
