I've had my Leopard Gecko for 8 days now and just recently when i look in his tank he walks up to the glass and stares at me and also it looks like he wants to eat my fingers when I put my hand in his tank to tame him (or her I haven't had a chance to check yet.) Is this normal? :main_huh:

He might be associating your hand with food. Just give him some days to settle in and keep putting your hand in there to let him learn your scent. New environments are stressful for these guys.

The staring is absolutely normal and one of the funny things about leos. They like to watch you all the time.

What behaviour indicates to you that he is interested in your fingers as food? If he is just watching them intently and darting his tongue out, those are more curious and exploratory behaviours. When he is more comfortable, he will lick your fingers directly. As long as you're not wiggling individual fingers in especially insect-like way he's unlikely to strike at them.
