My boyfriend is into reptiles ( mostly snakes ) and I have never have been until the march of this year, he bought me my first leo and she is my baby! Her name is Leo, well I assume she is female lol. I have asked around and got alot of opinions so ill post the pic here as well.

Here is Leo, think she is female? She is around 9 months old

Mandi, is your current substrate bed a beast or a similar product? If it is I would reccomend switching it to a substrate that can not be eaten and also holds less humidity. Something like Slate or ceramic tile. News paper paper towels, or astro turf. Then I would use the bed a beast in a humid hide. Place it in a sealed container with an entrance hole. Keep the hide on the hot side of the tank. Then you can just mist that hide every day or ever other. Please do not feel insulated by my comments as they are only suggestions.

By the way, the older gecko is a female and they are both cute.

Oh I would never take opinions or anything as an insult, I am here to learn!

I have the reptile heating pads under the humid hides of both of the tanks is that wrong? I mist the hides once daily. The stuff I have is like the bed a beast and the only reason I got it because the pet store guy said it was the best and not to use sand should I be using sand?

I have heard don't do this and don't do that by so many people! It's hard to decide what is best, I will say have used this bedding with my oldest leo for about 4 months and so far she is good.

No, don't use sand. Some people use it but with animals like Leo's I would suggest not doing so. The risk of impaction isn't worth the view of a more natural environment. But do get off the stuff you have now. It's too easy to ingest, which means possible impaction, and like mentioned too humid for them. Some members have had success using floor tile, but I have just recently switched from fake grass to paper towel. I know the paper towel looks tacky, but my cleanup time is about 35 seconds now because of it. I just scoop up the paper towel, wipe the cage if necessary, put new towel in, and done. It's just easier.
You should have the humid hides heated so that the humidity can actually work properly. Just make sure you have one side of the tank at the high level (90's) and the other end with no head and at the lower level (80's). Night temps are a little different cause things should naturally be cooler anyway.
But the leo's are looking good :).

Well at least I am keeping the temps right, she doesn't even go in the cold hide she just lays on the outside of the humid hide most of the time.

I will switch to something and you are right it's not worth her getting sick over just to look good.

Thanks for the advice, it's always welcome!
