My light has a built in air ionizer, is this ok for my crested gecko?

I have a planted vivarium, soon to be home to a crested gecko, I noticed the light I got for it has a built in air ionizer, will this harm my gecko in any way? It say it eliminates harmful bacteria, mold, pollen, dust, and other airborne particals, I would think it would be beneficial, but I wanted to be sure.

Also I used the jungle mix by eco terra, which has quite large chunks almost like bark mulch, would this be ok for a baby/juvi? or adults only on this substrate?
