last time i posted pics she was about 10ftish. now shes pushing 12. plus one of the guys i work with didnt beleave how big she is, so i dicided the pics.

It needs to be someone that can actually help out if the snake decides to put the squeeze on. I think you'll agree that narrows the field somewhat.

thanks guys. as for someone helping me out, i dont go in her cage unless someone else is there. at 6ft she missed a rat and hit my hand. at that size she was able to pull me into her cage by my arm. i learned my lesson bach then. shes extreamly cage aggressave but once she is out, she is a puppy dog. also a trick with large snakes and bites. they dont like alchohal. so i keep a bottle of vodka with me when im handling her. i also have a large weapon collection, and in worse case senario, and god forbid because i would never want to hurt her, the knifes would come in pretty handy. and again, yes there is always someone with me that knows what to do when im getting her out.

We had to do the alcohol trick on one of our burms once, when she accidently locked on to Tim's hand. Her mouth started foaming and she was hacking and coughing for what seemed like hours... She immediatelty let go and turned back into my sweet girl, but man, I felt SO BAD!

On the other end of the spectrum, I have a brother-in-law with an ~8-footer. I get the very uneasy feeling he's in over his head. :main_no:

k, sorry you to hear you had to do that. but it really is the best way. and tits good to know she went back to her normal self. when it happened to me i was lucky enough to be able to grab her head, and as soon as she relized i wasnt food, she let go. and maurice, i understand what your talking about. anytime i see someone at an expo get one i always wander to my self if those people know what they are getting into. it really is a massave responsability. i do thank you for the concern though

Yeah, I wasn't trying to offend you. They really are a lot of responsibility for sure. My sister sounded so surprised when I told her that the snake her husband got himself could easily reach 18 feet in length. :main_no:

By the way, is your girl still satisfied with rats or do you have to feed something bigger like rabbits or ducks?

she eats 2, 4lb rabbits every week. those pics were taken about 4 days after she had fed, and you can bearly see them in her. next year when i dicide to breed her, i will slow down her feeding, and give her enough to mantain her

thank you, i do plan to breed her. and the 8lbs..that is 8lbs a week for 3 weeks, and then i give her a break for a week or 2.

i just gotta know, do snakes pee? i dont think they do, so that means about 4 lbs of snake poop a weak?

snakes are like any other reptile. they pee and poop at the same time. alos, the 4lbs of rabbit turn into about 1/2 -3/4 lb of poop at most. if you really want to see that bad, il get a picture next time she goes and PM it to you.
