Hello again Kortex here! I found this forum section just now and i must say you guys have adorable looking geckos :)

Well i thought maybe you wanted to see my new once as well! I just bought them a month ago from an local breeder, at the moment the live together in a terrarium i built for them myself.

I'm not sure if i should split them up or not, the breeder couldn't tell if they where females or males.. so I'm not sure what they are. They have lived together now for about a month and it have been no problems so far they seem to get along fine. What do you guys think? split em or keep them together?

best of regards

Tommy

They are still a bit frightened and unsure i think, but they are slowly becoming more and more curious about me trying to handle them, will keep up the daily handling and hope they turn out nice and friendly. I have tried to pick them up a few times and they don't really like i yet. they do anything to try and escape.

Hi Tommy.
Nice caves/hide areas.Great photos. Good work!
When you are looking at Geckos as a hobby.
....it is hard to not want to have some
live together.
Thoughts of companions for them and more
interesting watching for us.
It works sometimes with rewarding feelings.
But not always will they appreciate each other
as we would like.
It takes much, much, observation(if bullying)
and additional time (for separate feedings)
on our part if to consider it.
Many opinions say don't, not worth the risk.
But hey, I have some groups together. If
I could get the cooperation out of the"singles"
crowd I'd combine more.
Here is a couple things I posted that work
for me.
Welcome to the GeckoForums.Net
Take care. HJ

You really should separate them, since they are different sizes, and if they are both males, its only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

I'd like to see a bigger picture of your set up...I love that rock wall cave thing...did you make it?

awwwww look at them :D so cute! i love the pic where thay have a hole each heehee
Yes would love to see your set up it looks fab!

Yes as said before be very careful. If they are two girls then you have a chance of keeping them together as I myself keep females in groups too and they do miss each other when they are apart lol
If they turn out to be two males NOT A CHANCE :( even if they are one of each they shouldn’t be kept together.
I would watch them like a hawk especially at feeding time for signs of bullying. as you’re smallest one is more likely to get less food to eat.
Part from that they look fab and I hope you all have many fun fun years ahead and your family will surely grow as it’s addictive :p

post some pics of their more intimate areas and we can all tell you what we think about their sex :D lol

They are both adorable :) unfortunately, I would definitely separate them, first and foremost because they are different sizes. Even if you don't see it, there could be bullying going on. I hope you are feeding them separately to make sure they're both getting enough food.

I'm no expert but the bigger one looks old enough to sex, is there any way you could get a shot of the base of his tail without stressing the new guy out too much?

I love love love the rock setup! They seem to love it in their little caves!!

I have already seen signs of bullying when feeding them but i have made sure both get the food they need but the larger one is trying to make sure the smaller one stays clear of when he is eating so thats why im going to split them apart! I have ordered a new terrarium that i will have up and running in two days so i hope that will do the job!
