My new cage for my new gecko

I just got my first gecko yesterday. I was told by many people to use the edible calcium sand, but now on this forum I have been told not to use sand and to use paper towels. Please give me more feedback about this. Thank you

The tank looks OK, but gecko is too small to be on sand of any kind, and definitely do not use calcium sand for a leopard gecko. I would also give him a second hide that it enclosed on 3 sides so he can feel safe. Make sure the main hide is on the warm side of his tank (I hope you have an under-tank heater?). Leopard geckos do not need, or even like bright overhead lights.
