My new gecko room

It's pretty much done. I still need to add some storage shelves and a slop sink. Over all dimensions are 8 feet by 25 feet.

Thank you. The insulation, is to insulate and act as a vapor barrier against the concrete wall.

Vapor Barrier?

When covering concrete that is exposed to both cool(outside in the winter-inside in the summer) and warm temperatures, concrete can and will sweat. Like a cold drink on a hot day. By insulating it, you can keep the concrete a stable temperature, thereby reducing any condensation.

So insulating my room (in basement) between the cinder block wall and the drywall would be a good idea. Should I insulate all the walls, or only the two outside walls?

Bummer. My husband has a very sensitive nose & I thought I'd found the perfect Christmas present!

Where is your sink going to go? That is one thing I wish I could've had - along with more space of course.

That is awesome Jeremy! Maybe one day I will get my garage emptied of all the crap in there and be able to frame out and insulate a nice room like that. Until I get that done, or put heat in my sun porch (3 season room), the gecko racks will have to stay in the family room. I am jealous right now.
