my new gecko!!

hi my name is iker and im from spain!

last saturday a bought a female young leopard gecko and i called her midori.
i will update photos in a thread in housing.
How can i tame her???
I caught her and she runs,and if someone touch her she gets nervous.I have stoped touching her

If she is skittish, it is good to work in stages:

1. Visit her cage each day and talk to her. Let her get used to her new home and you. Teach her that you bring the food. Keep handling to a minimum, only as required. When you do have to handle to clean her cage, always go slowly and cup her in your hands. Do not grab or move fast. Do this until she no longer runs and hides when you visit.

2. Start putting your hand in the cage, flat down. She may hide at first, but she will get used to you. Do this until she no longer runs and hides when you put your hand in. She may even come over and inspect your hand.

3. Start handling slowly. It is good to scoop in slowly from the side and not from above. Keep your hands open and flat inside her cage, and let her walk on your hands.

It is good to go slow and let the gecko get used to everything.
