Oh wow he's beautiful...It's hard to tell the morph at a young age and without knowing the breeder because they change so much as they grow. The best we can do is guess, but I'm not fluent in morphs so I'll let someone else tackle that pony.

I'm a bit rusty with Leo's, it's been a while for me, but I've always been of the notion that dark coloration like that (except in cases of melanism) is a sign of dehydration and poor health... Anyone able to back me up on this or refute me? I'm curious.

He didn't look or act very sick when I picked him out. He was exploring his new tank and licking everything new to him. I'll keep a close eye on him. Gonna start feeding him tomorrow.

Hi he looks like a hypo ( a very dark one). And I don’t think he’s 7 months I have a female who is 7 months and she’s 55 grams. Judging from size I would say he’s around 2 months. Besides that he looks very healthy, his tail is a nice size for his age/size. Just make sure you keep a close eye on him, behavior and health. :D

I agree with Kash on all points. Except the morph, I have no idea about that lol. There's no way he's 7 months, he's just too small! Or at least he looks it! I have a female around 45-50g who I guess to be about 7-8 months. My almost five month old female had just surpassed 25g last time I weighed her, so I'm guessing the bigger one is roughly twice the little one's age. Haven't weighed em in a couple weeks so I'm not sure exactly on the weights now. He looks pretty healthy to me, his eyes look bright and his tail looks appropriate size. He looks like Clem when I first got her, at least the tail to body ratio does, and she was around 3 months when I got her, so he's probably around that age.

If you have a gram scale, that'll give you a pretty good rough estimate of how old he is. With good care (which I feel like he may have had based on the whole saga you've dealt with, the store sounds like they may actually know what they are doing compared to some stores) 2-3 mos is right around the 20g mark. I'd say 7-8 is around the 50g mark. Nothing is definite with these animals though... All that matters is that he looks and behaves like a healthy gecko!

Where did you purchase the gecko he looks like one of those “dark super hypo” charcoal/black pearl projects. You can pick up some interesting things from pet stores.

I got him from "Aquarium @ Route 4" (yes this is there name lol). They are really great and helpful. They have tons of different reptiles from Leopard geckos, monitors and they even have scaleless rat snakes. I hope to get a job there soon lol. I'm gonna be ordering a scale on Cyber Monday so I can weight him.

He is 22g. How old do you think he is and what morph is he?

he looks hypo if you ask me. But like I said the page before he looks like this hypo charcoal projects. and I’ve heard they lightened up as they get older and darken up again. But it will be pure luck to find one of those. And I’m glad he’s doing well.
