Brand new to the forum and to leo's. I put down some serious $$ and got my hands on a couple gorgeous super giants.

My male "Puff" with the spots is a super giant emerine/tangerine. He's 11" long and about 110g. 1 1/2 years of age.

My female is an Xtreme Raptor Super Giant (Raptor, sunglow, and extreme emerine). She is only 5 1/2 month old 65g. It's only been 48hours since i got her!

I hope you like ;)

Oh! They're lovely!:smitten: I'm new to everything. Doing research before I take the plunge! I'm looking into buying a male super giant. (Tremper Albino) next year!:D Can you please tell me what size viv would be best? There will be only one and he could be a giant or a super giant. Thank you! I want everything to be perfect for next year!:)

Hey Holly:

Thank you! It has been an amazing experience and I've just begun. That's so exciting, the whole process from research to reality is awesome!

If you want premium go with
Exo-terra
Medium - Low
24" L X 18" W X 12" H
Like $90
Awesome terrarium for a single giant

You could even do a sterilite tub of similar dimensions if money is an issue.

You need any advice let me know
Good luck, enjoy the ride

Thank you so much for replying!:) I do want to go "premium" My beloved bearded dragon also has an Exo-terra tank and I like them alot. (Hers is alot bigger ofcourse) I'm very interested in having a reptile that doesn't brumate. (I miss my BD Myah so much:cry:) I am having one "road block" though. I'm scared to death of the UTH! I know it's best to get a stand and I know you can use a thermostat but I'm so scared it'll crack the glass. *sigh* What brand of UTH do you use? Is it Zoomed? Thank you so much for helping me out:)

Oh! BTW! My last name is Harding too! Mine is just spelled "Haardeng" thought that was kinna neat. LOL!

Haha good eye Haardeng, I have the 36x18x12 exo-terra with the zoo-med heat pad. I'll get some photos online soon! The exo-terra cage sits in a built-in frame that leaves just enough space underneath the tank to avoid pinching your UTH wire. zoomeds don't get super hot, they max out at 120 degress or something. obviously 120 degrees doesn't all transfer through the glass to the interior. Get a nice flat rock or rocks to put directly above your UTH, this will make for a great basking spot while keeping the heat down. Get your cage set-up and proper a week in advance! That gives you time to monitor the temps. If you want to be overly protective do the thermostat and have it hooked up to a good surge protector

You've been so kind to me. A rock on top. Makes perfect sense! One last question though, what size UTH for a med/low tank? A small/med?
Can't wait to see photos! Thank you for humoring my newbie questions! And Happy New Year! :party2:

Oh they are BEAUTIFUL. Oh my. Puff is just about the cutest, funniest name for a leo I've heard. :) Absolutely adore. They are both gorgeous and look very healthy. :) Gorgeous!
