My new tegu - Loki

This is my new extreme giant Loki who just arrived today. He is absolutely the tamest lizard I've ever seen.

Using scrambled eggs as a heat rock...

Holy crap is this little *%&$^% fast. He was the calmest lizard I've ever seen yesterday - today he levitated over my shoulder during feeding time and led me on an hour long chase. Still completely adorable.

The green head is a baby thing, it will fade to white with time.

very nice looking Gu you have there! They grow up really fast I have a total of 4 of them, 1 extreme and 3 B/W, they can be a handful. Good luck with him/her.

By the way, Where did you order it from? I only know of two places that sell Tegu's and thats backwater reptiles and underground reptiles.

There are a lot of great breeders and sellers around.

I went through Varnyard, he's the only major breeders of the extreme giants (slightly larger, higher white variety)

The ball is designed so you can hide a treat in it as an enrichment activity. I put some wax worms in there and he went a little nuts. He actually worked it out pretty quickly but once I reloaded it he went into crazed little bitey dino mode.
