This is my new extreme giant Loki who just arrived today. He is absolutely the tamest lizard I've ever seen.

Using scrambled eggs as a heat rock...

He's very pretty! I've never seen a tegu with a green head before, but that may just be because I don't see them much at all.

Holy crap is this little *%&$^% fast. He was the calmest lizard I've ever seen yesterday - today he levitated over my shoulder during feeding time and led me on an hour long chase. Still completely adorable.

very nice looking Gu you have there! They grow up really fast I have a total of 4 of them, 1 extreme and 3 B/W, they can be a handful. Good luck with him/her.

By the way, Where did you order it from? I only know of two places that sell Tegu's and thats backwater reptiles and underground reptiles.

Haha, why did it stick it's nose in it the first place? So cute :)
Thanks!

The ball is designed so you can hide a treat in it as an enrichment activity. I put some wax worms in there and he went a little nuts. He actually worked it out pretty quickly but once I reloaded it he went into crazed little bitey dino mode.

More of him and the ball if you are interested-
