I've been rather bored as of lately so I've been uploading almost all of my pics from all over the place onto my photobucket. No one's really seen these pics yet and I feel the need to share them. Here's just a few of my favorite shots. (trust me, this is only a few of them. I'm restraining myself from posting much much more) My camera is bipolar. It takes breath taking pics at times while at other times it takes blurry washed out pics. I don't understand it at all and I've given up trying to.
First some from the Philadelphia Flower Show from this year.
Gorgeous bog plant display.
My mom took this one of me there. I loved the orchids behind me.
The thought of how many orchids were grown just for this one part of this display is mind boggling.
Tulips
Orchids
Amazon Lilies
Amaryllises
Calla Lilies
I think this is the best picture I've ever taken and if not very close to it. My mom is blowing this up and framing it. It's a couple gardenia blooms.
This display was amazing. People were really rude though and kept walking in front of my camera making it very hard to get this pic. Someone kinda ruined this shot with their mint ice cream.
This orchid was huge. I saw one like it in the vending area. The $50+ price made me not get it.
A cool nepenthes. I'll have to take some pictures of my baby one I got at the show in the awesome terrarium I set up for it.
My arch nemesis of the plant world, the corpse flower. This thing stunk...really really bad. And it was right next to some lilies I wanted to take pictures of too so i had to go near it. Anything for a good shot!
Now for some of my "home grown" pictures of stuff I actually own.
Some of my very very tiny paper cranes. I folded that teeny little one with a straightened staple.
My paper narcissus. Pretty but very very stinky for the first week it blooms. After that it smells good. I threw it out after it was done blooming. It's not worth the stench.
These are my beloved datura and brugmansia flowers. The white are datura and the peach are brugmansia.
My cherry blossom tree outside my window. It's blurry but I like it.
Here's the bettas. They're pretty but oh so hard to take pictures of. This was before they all caught the disease that killed them all. I'm still in shock on how they all caught it as I sanitized everything.
This is my little Asche. He was always flaring, even in his sleep.
Another pic of Asche displaying his blue coloration. (I'm such a sucker for anything black and blue)
Asche's sister Nebel. The both of them came from Thailand.
This is a gorgeous little black orchid double ray crowntail I surprisingly found at petsmart. I bought him on a fish shopping binge. Ah, those were the days. When I was depressed I would just buy fish.
Not a pic I took but this is Asche and Nebel's gorgeous brother I almost got but was DOA at the transhipper. The breeder sent me both Asche and Nebel as replacements. That guy was awesome.
Here are a few pics from some aquariums and zoos.
A tiger relaxing in the winter time.
I had an unexplainable urge to want to paint it's toenails. I have no idea why.
This tortoise has the funniest story behind it. I saw him behind the scenes at the Philadelphia zoo. He is in a tortoise wheel chair and has a chip on his shell because he fell off while mating. My friend's mother called it a "sex injury". Picturing what happened makes me laugh on the inside every time in a demented way. I probably shouldn't laugh but I can't help it.
A pretty sweet dolphin show.
My favorite fish of all, the zebra shark. If I ever get rich, I'm building a tank big enough to keep these amazing, gentle animals.
A whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling. The skeletons in the Baltimore aquarium are oddly beautiful to me.
That's it for now at least. I take pictures where ever I go. Sorry if I killed your computer. I warned you it was pic heavy.
