I plan to breed them, but my female is only 15 grams. Sorry the pictures are bad, they wouldn't stay still.

Very nice pair. When they're up to breeding size, start getting advice from breeders. I'd hazard to say these are about as difficult as trachys and GT leachies to get to produce consistently. I'm really concerned about this species maintaining in captivity in the years to come, as many don't find them appealing and most can't get theirs to breed. I started working with this species about 4 years ago and produced my first young this year. The females may cycle eggs in the presence of a male, but getting them to lay good eggs is a bit more tricky in my experience. Best of luck and PM/email me if you want in advice when the time comes...

Thanks for the info I will PM you when they are up to breeding size. How long does it take for them to become able to breed?

Thanks for sharing pictures of your saras. IMO this is the most underrated Rhacodactylus. I like them a lot.. They are very fun to work with. :)

Most of the breeders I've talked to about them, have only gotten any serious breeding activity after the animals were 2-3 years old. I definitely wouldn't put them in the same category with cresteds (some people pushing breeding before 1 year!)...

They look great, is the males tail kinked though? Is thata birth defect, or the result of a wound... I'd be afraid of passing that along genetically if it is indeed genetical. THen again I might be seeing things... lol.

The tail is kinked, but I don't think it is genetic. It was like that when I bought him.
