My setup's and Pix

Hello everyone. This is my first post here on this forum and I would like to tell you a little about my leopard gecko's.

I have a male normal morph that is 3yrs old. He is 10 inches long and 136 grams. I also have a female albino jungle giant and she is 10 months old. She is 9 3/4 inches long and 92 grams. My male is Rocco and my female is Mimzy.

Are you sure your gecko is 136 grams? Because that's massive.

I'm positive he is 136 grams. Over at the reptilerooms.com I have been a member for over 1yr giving them all the updates. I believe he is the heaviest gecko over there at that site.

Dec 62 Grams <----- I bought him in local newspaper for $25.00 and he was 2yrs old then. Last owner fed him twice a week !!

I will be taking more pix soon and I will have some of Mimzy too. The past several months I have been taking all the pix of Rocco cause he has been getting so big. I have more pix of Rocco in my profile over at reptilerooms.com if you want to go see them.

Alot of people cant believe how big he is and the members over at the other forum all know Rocco but even the new members ask me if I'm sure that he is that heavy. I have even had people tell me that my scale must be wrong LOL

killer set up, that is the biggest gecko i have ever heard of. i used to be at reptilerooms as well, i like this place much better.

Actually the biggest and heaviest on record is a super giant from Ron Tremper. That leo was 11 1/8 long and 154 grams.

Rocco is only 10 inches but very close to that record and he is still gaining weight each month

I will be on both forums. I think they both got it good LOL... I try my best to give them the proper setup.

I feed Rocco every other day and he normally eats 3-4 large supers at each feeding. I feed Mimzy mealworms cause she wont eat supers.

Thanks for all the great replies !! I use 75 watt bulbs in my 10 inch clamp lamps cause I have very dark curtains and it's really helps to mimic the day cycle. I put the regular bulbs on from 8am - 7pm, then I use red zoomed bulbs for night viewing and I turn them off at about 11pm, then when I wake up in the morning I start the process all over again.

My gecko's have got so use to this schedule that in the morning when I put the lights on they go right back the hides and sleep almost all day except to get a drink every now and then. When I shut the regular lights off at 7pm and they hear the dome light make the clicking sound to turn off then they come out within seconds !!

I use two reptitemps thermostats to have the temps right about 90-92 and it's measured with s digital thermometer in each tank and the probes are right inside the warm hides on the substrate. I like to use non adhesive shelf liner as the substrate. Its very easy to clean and looks very neat. The biggest plus is they cant get impacted from it unlike most other kinds of loose substrate like sand

That gecko is a monster. My biggestest gecko is about 9 in and 85 grams!

I got Mimzy my albino jungle giant from one of the site's sponsors GkoReptiles back in March 10th when they were at the Tampa, Florida Expo. She was 2 1/2 months old and 23 grams when I got her.

GkoReptiles were the best vendors out of the whole place in my opinion and the only sellers that had a giant breed and I went to the expo in search of one. I have been in contact with phillip and christine throughout the months and giving them updates on her progress and they are some very good people !!

rocco is a monster, i just love huge leos no matter their morph.

Yeah you prolly saw some of my posts over at RR. I currently dont have any pix of them next to each other but I will take some more soon however just like you said, even thought Mimzy is 92 grams she still looks like a juvie compared to Rocco !!
