Just wanted to share a pic of Loki. I think he's a really pretty fella even tho he isn't some unique morph, he has a great temperament. My son started asking us at age 6 for a snake. We made him wait until he was 11 then surprised him with a gift certificate to our local herp shop to pick out this fella. Well actually he picked out a female first, we called her Electra but she thought she was a pit viper. Would strike at you thru the glass, and was really not typical of the ball temperament I knew and loved, so back she went for a more experienced handler and we picked up this fella insted.

Meet Loki...

Thanks for the kind words guys... he really is an amazing fella and sooo sweet. He loves it when you rub his head and even his chin. You can touch him anywhere and he never objects and it seems almost asks for it sometimes. We're going to redo his tank a bit to hopefully gethis temps up a bit higher and hopefully that will help with his pickey eating habits. A snake his age and size should def. be eating more than 1-2 adult large mice a week.

They're all unique. Phenotypical elasticity being what it is.

This is true.

It took my son about 2 weeks to pick out his snake. He wanted a male for sure, but then it was size and pattern and "feel" for him. *lol* By day 5 of the search, myself & daughter even started getting into the normal's patterns. We drove the shops & breeders nuts looking for "the one".

It was color that brought Brey and Loki together too. When Loki was a youngster (about a foot long) he had the most intense gold coloring on his back and spotting almost like a leopard. Brey was hooked. He was the one.
