Well, this is my first post here. Sorry the pictures are so bad, have to use my phone camera. I kinda dropped my camera on the ground, so now it won't turn on O.O

First up is Ming's tank. Ming is what I am guessing to be a murphy's patternless(not sure, I am a noob) and she was my first gecko.

Here is Ming :)

Next up is my MSS's tank. It's still pretty young, hence the paper towels, or else he would be on carpet too.

And here is the little beast. Pretty much the polar opposite of Ming. Very high-strung.

I know pine is supposed to be bad for them, but I sealed the pine bark things with quite a few layers of non-toxic sealant, and aired it out for a week. But, they are no longer in his tank now, it is an older picture of him, and now he has gained more weight, looks better, ect.

Also, if anyone would like to let me know how well my tanks are set up, that would be great :)

Thanks!
Hailey

Nice setups and geckos! I like the custom work you did in Ming's tank. If I may ask, what method/materials did you use? I do a bit of custom work but I use the styrofoam/grout/sealant approach :)

Thanks!

First, my dad and I had to cut apart the back of the tank, it was a saltwater tank with a built-in filter, so we removed that and left a spot so it would be like a cave in the back. That's the reason the front of the tank is covered in scratches, we aren't the best at cutting acrylic.

I used great stuff (foam in a can) and sprayed the whole back of the tank, let it sit for a day, then carved it to the desired shapes. After I carved it, I took sanding screens and added fissures and details to the rocks, or tried to at least lol. Then I added a small bag of gray sanded grout to it, let it dry for a few days, and added another bag of tan-colored, instead of painting it. Let it dry for a week, sealed it really well, aired it out, and put Ming in it.

Yeah, but just keep in mind that if you start to carve it, wear gloves and a face mask, and wash your hands/arms frequently. I don't know if it was just me, but it irritated my skin and eyes...
