I picked these two up about 3 weeks ago from a local breeder. I think they are about 2 months old or so. I think one of the parents was a Snow or Super Snow (it was big). I think one is a male, the other is a Female. They both hatched about the same time. I think they are Trempers, but I'm not totally sure. If anyone can ID them, please do.

I sort of got into reptiles by accident. I found a Western Fence Lizard (aka Bluebelly) with an injured eye that pretty much claimed me at work. It had climbed up a weed and I just happened to see it as I walked by. I put my hand out and it climbed on. After walking around with it on my shirt for a good 3 hours, it was time to go home, but the little guy didn't want to go, so I brought it home. I went out, got a fish tank and a water dish, food dish and some crickets. I didn't think it would last long since it was injured and wild, but I thought it was worth a try. He lasted about two weeks then suddenly died one afternoon. (He was alive before I took a nap and was gone when I woke up. :( )

A friend said I should look into Leopard Geckos and I did. After a quick search on the local Craigslist I found a guy here in town who had some little ones so I went over and picked these two out.

The smaller lighter colored one is a male, and the larger darker one is the female (from what I can tell using a bright light to check.) The female seems to be a little more elusive and doesn't come out during the day at all, but the male will. The have different tastes in food, the male loves crickets but doesn't really like mealworms, but the female is just the opposite. She will eat a cricket every so often but would rather have a meal worm or 4. Neither one seems to like waxworms however. Neither one will come out of the hide to climb my arm yet, but they are getting better.

How cute!!! I love the last three pictures :D I'm sorry about what happened to the lizard, but I admire you for taking as best of care of it as you could! Years ago, my family and I had the same thing happen, only with an adult duck (who recovered and we set free) and then with a baby duck (who, sadly, did not make it), and most recently, a baby squirrel (who we gave to the vet after the first night so that we could find a home with someone proper to care for it)! :)
