How many of us here have names for our geckos? I have a bad habit of naming things after Greek Mythology, lol.

My geckos are Balios - named after the Jaguar Were-Hunter family in the Dark Hunters series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Eyaliss - no meaning really, my son made up her name with a fantasy name generator

Now this is where I've lost my marbles so to speak. The next four were named after the Rivers of the Underworld in Greek Myth... Acheron - the river of woe/ sorrow, Styx - the river of hate or the Goddess of Oath, Lethe - river of forgetfulness and Kokytos - the river of lamentation.

(my avatar is Acheron taken about a month ago)

I name all of my pets (except for the fish). I currently have 2 babies without names, as they have recently hatched and I'm still trying to decide, but other than that, all geckos have names.

I started out with NCIS themed...Gibbs, Abby, Ziva, Kensi, Ducky (in a new home now). Then I got another breeding group that I wanted to be named after old country singers...so I have Hank and June, and Minnie Pearl kind of went along with that theme (new home).

Then there's the babies. I name them unisex names starting with the same letter. So for the first year, I had Alex (still have her since she was my first hatchling). Because of incubator troubles, I only had her hatch. This year, I have...
Bobbie, Banshee, Boo, Bonfire, Bonsai, Bourbon, Bronx (new home and now named Mowgli), Bristol, Buttons, Bayou, Bitty, Blitz, and Biscuit.

Next year, the names will start with "C".

Thats a cool idea with the letters, I never thought of that. All mine have names. I have a weird need to give mine really long names and really short names and call them both. Sometimes I start with a short and a long one just kind of develops, and other times its the opposite. So I'll put their First given name first, then their "pet name" (no pun intended) in parenthesizes

-Squirt (Squirtle)
-Charm (Charmander)
-Jelly Bean (Jelly)
-Spunky (Punk)
-Syd (Psyduck)
-Oddball (Still a baby so his nickname hasnt come along yet)
-Jessie (Jessa Belle)

And then I just have a few hatchlings that are known by their number, which also just happens to correspond with their # of stripes, 3 and 4.

yes! I love naming my geckos! its the most fun and challenging part for me personally! I like giving my leos strange names that others might not think of! im also listing all of my geckos that I tragically lost to a disease, because I feel thy deserve mention. ok, the ones who are gone were named Ash (my boy), Tenshi, Squirt (ironic! look at the post below this one!), and Lizzie. my current geckos, which are the start to me rebuilding my collection are named Sakura, Meat Head, Dinosaur (also my profile name!), and Cheddar Anne!

I love it! Everybody has their own style for giving names :)

Acheron's nickname is Ash and I have a Banshee, but she's a boa not a gecko, LOL

Kokytos was the last one to be named. It took me a while to decide on one. I was tossing around either Hades or Persephone, but since I'm still not sure whether or not Ko is male or female (too young to be sure) I went with one of the remaining 2 rivers.

My breeder geckos and geckos that stay in my collection get names, but all the rest have ID #s. That being said I still care for them all equally it would just be extremely hard to give names to them all.

Completely understand with having trouble finding names for larger groups....I'm already having difficulties with just 15 babies and their names lol. I never like repeating names of animals I have known in the past...so that blanks out Ben, Bradley, and Bailey for this year's babies...
