Nature's Spirit Incubator

Can anyone give me their success rates using this incubator. I purchased one about a month or two ago after having horrible results due to cold spells when using a hovabator. I've been putting a little more weight on my geckos so I haven't really started breeding yet but I would like to know what to expect.

**Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

I love mine got it before breeding season started. the helix thermostat doesn't heart either. stays nice and steady. Has some problems last year with my own inc(think it was the thermostat I was using), some deformities . Have hatched 8 so fair with NSI this year and they have all come out perfect.

from what i've been told by a few others the nature's spirit incubators and well worth the price..

I keep my hovabators indoors so the temps stay nice and steady due to the cold weather lately here in FL; and with the upcoming heat wave it should be fine.

But I guess it's up to individual interpretation and how they accommodate it's placement.

I hatched out about 75% using the hovabator BUT whenever it would get cold for a few days (well cold for miami) the eggs in the hovabator would go bad.

I heard people talking about putting a tub of water in the bottom of their NS Incubator. Is that neccessary, and if so how do you know how much water to use?

When I started using the Nature's Spirit incubators, my hatch rate improved to well over 90%. I use the Helix proportional controller, and it keeps the temps steady to better than +/- 1 degree.

I've heard good and bad things about Helixs. Some people have told me that they are 50% broken out the box but if you get a good one they are awesome. Others say they are the best on the market. Maybe they are apart of the 50%. I have two of the Spyder Robotics Herp Stats and love them.

Well since my breeding season is just about over I thought I dig this old post up. The NSR hatched 100% of the eggs I put in. That was the best investment I ever made. Unfortunately the Hovabator still gave me a sub-par hatch rate. Some where in the low to mid 80's. I guess that means I need another NSR for next year :)
