Yet another I don't know what it is thread.....

I'm 99% sure I'm going to buy this girl from a lady on kijiji but I just want to know the morph first. She's a pretty little thing and a steal with all included supplies. Thanks for the help!~

BTW the substrate will be gone the second I get home. :)

Based on that massive tail kink, I don't think I'd get that gecko personally. :) To me it looks Tremper, and looks as though it's in shed, although the picture is very washed out.

Are there health concerns related to tail kinks? Honestly, I think she's a cutie but I'm also getting her because I'm getting her + a tank, multiple lights with bulbs, 2 UTH's, a ceramic heater, tank accessories, crickets, a cricket keeper etc for under $100.

There are no health problems associated with tail kinks, it would just be in poor judgement to breed her. As a pet, I'm sure she'll be great.

Seems like a Tremper albino to me.

I found another pic which the tail doesn't look kinked to me but I'm not entirely sure. Or is the "kink" the curved part? Thank for the info about tail kinks. I was scared it had complications for a sec. We have no problem keeping her as a pet. My girls are always happy to have someone new to look after. :) More geckos means more time that they get to spend in front of the feeding tank watching them chow down. lol

The tail's not kinked. Looks healthy to me. I'd say tremper albino as well but you can never tell which albino strain it truely is unless you get it's already known or test bred.

Thanks for the help everyone! We have her home and set up in her tank with some major changes. The little boy that owned her loved her but didn't like that she stayed in her house all the time. He had never picked her up because she growled when he tried to. :main_no: They were also going by a pet store care sheet hence the substrate, lights, no calcium in the tank and the big one no dimmer on a HUGE uth. I'm surprised the poor little girl didn't cook it was so hot.

Anyway, we've got her set up at the proper temps with all the hides she needs and on paper towel. I think she likes it because she ate alot last night even with all the changes. She's actually not so washed out as the pics so I'll take some new ones when I get a chance.

The worst thing about the whole situation was that they were selling her to get a beardie at the recommendation of the pet store. The pet store said that beardies were excellent easy animals to look after and no problem for a 10 year old. :main_angry: Dad and I had a long chat about husbandry and suitability of various reptiles and kids. They won't be getting a beardie now since the 10 year old is the primary care giver. Pet stores make me insane.
