Hello, I received an email from a father informing me that he purchased 2 leopard gecko's for his 7 year old for christmas. His 7 year old appears to have neglected the poor things and he has asked that I take them off his hands. I agreed to take them however they seem to be in worse shape than i had originally thought.
This little guy had its tail pulled/Ripped off. I dont know if it was from being mis-handled or from being bullied by the other gecko.
And this guy just seems to be very skinny. He is extremely friendly and very compfortable being held. But he wont eat. And his skin is very dry.
right now i have them seperated in different tanks, no sand just carpeting. And I will probably keep the little one alone for quite some time until his tail grows back.
But I would like to know what else can be done as far as getting the big guy to eat. the little one has an enourmous apetite, But I am unsure how often to feed him since he has a missing tail. I am assuing everyday? Also is there any kind of medication to assist w/ tail re-growth.
Any help on how to make these leo's better would be extremely greatful!
