ok so i got to baby leopard geckos and we bought the kit for it and it recommends that you use the liner for it so as such we did. there seems to be a problem with when they eat tho they seem to get snagged on the liner and they get stuck. im about to go get sand for the tank (30gal) but ive read that its not good for them because they can ingest they sand and cause problems for them internally. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Use paper towel. its SAFE and also their teeth wont get snagged on it like they might with the tank liner aka reptile carpet. whatever you do DO NOT USE SAND!!!!!!!!! it will open up a whole can of problems for your gecko if its a baby like you said. Once again, use paper towel or newspaper is ok too but I would personally go with paper towel. Safer, and no risk that the gecko might ingest ink. Plus, easy cleanup and it looks better in the tank :)

no need for a humidity gauge all you need to have is a humid hide which is a deli container with a hole cut in the side with damp paper towels or sphagnum moss(or something like it) inside, dampened. It helps the leo shed and provides the skin with the moisture it needs from the air. no need to spray the tank or anything, just keep the humid hide wet :)
