I got 2 good eggs from my tangerine female about 10 days ago. I haven't seen eggs develop in he belly since so I was wondering if and when I should put the male back in?

You can reintroduce them now, but make sure you watch to see if the female is rejecting him. If she's not into it, she'll rattle her tail, wave it up in the air, or she might even give him some warning bites. If she rejects him they should be separated right away for their safety.

I put then in and the female nipped him back a bit and I took him out. I didn't want to keep him in because she had attacked him earlier. Should I have let them go longer and watch to make sure or what? I'd rather have two safe parent than babies and dead parents so if it's not meant to be it's alright. Please give input.

I've been told that one mating will last for a few clutches... Some people don't reintroduce the male until after the 2nd or 3rd clutch.

Personally, I reintroduced 2 males to 2 females and both females rejected their male/mate for about from "day 7 after egglaying" to about "day 12 after egglaying)...then they finally seemed interested and allowed it. Try to change the venue tomorrow...her in his tank, him in hers...both in a new tub...

If she attacks him she's not ready it doesn't mean it will never happen. I would check her abdomen every few days and if the ovulates are between 1/2-3/4 inch circles you can try introducing the male. If she attacks him get him out right away and leave her be for another 3-5 days. If the ovulates get bigger than 3/4 inch she's probably making eggs and you'll need to wait until a few days after she lays to reintroduce. If they're receptive most females will simply lie down and let the male do their thing. Good luck!
