I recently just purchased another 3 leos about a week ago. Finally got my favorite morph a snow engimas shes het bell and from the TUG line so im extactic! shes very pretty but my problem is shes rather thin. I included a pic of her compared to my striped snow female whos the same length as her. She eats just fine, hammers roachs and crickets alike. I dont wanna give her mealies just yet since it takes more to fill her up and she seems to like her cricketss best right now(cant blame her lol) im gonna offer her a few waxxies as a treat but ive never dealt with a leo this fine before. Her tail looks like a twig(As bad as most ive seen in pet shopsD: ) she doesnt appear sick, has great poops, good apptite, nice sheds, clear eyes and everything just she's not putting on wieght. i am weighing her reguarly she stands at 30 grams where as my striped snow is at 49 grams. Ideas as to what to feed her to help her put on wieght? Should i try super worms? im dusting her food just like the others too, should i dust it more? Im also thinking about feeding her twice a day how i did with a pet store gecko that was under weight(no where near as bad as her!) once in the am and once in the pm not huge meals but 3-5 crickets or roachs with some mealies? again any ideas? Also i dont believe its parasites. The others that came are all healthy and have nice tails.
Mmm also i have them all housed right no sand or anything and are fed what they want, when they want i dont set a limit to there food and dont force feed. They get fed nightly.
Finally whats a good amount of weight for her to put on weekly? how many grams? would it be like over feeding a starving stray dog/cat and cause more bad then good?
