Okay, well lately my girls have been giving me a run for my money. Now...my problem and worry is my Secret Santa present from Ryan and Val. She is ovulating, and just won't stop. She weighed 56 grams when I got her and now she weighs 62 grams. She will be one in june. Now, my question is, should I breed her to get her to stop ovulating? Or should I just let her go and wait till she hits one. My only worry and he being too young. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

In my opinion, she is good to go. She is 11 Months old, 62 grams, and ovulating :)

Yeah um i meant 52 grams. My bad. It my other girl that weighs 52 grams. Sorry! If she was 62 i would be fine with breeding her. But 52 scares me.

Oh, big difference, lol. In that case, I would wait until at least 55. Mealworms that are gutloaded are a good way to get the weight up, and pretty healthy, especially if you somehow manage to dust them. Does she like Silkworms? They're high in protein, or so I've heard. Good luck!

Thats the complitcated part, she doesn't eat. I usually have no problem putting weight on my geckos. But she doesn't eat when she ovulates. I just hope this season doesn't become a waste. I personally would like to get her to 60 g. But I don't see that happening.

Greg,

I would still breed her. Last season, I had a female Murphy Patternless in the same situation, she was 48 grams, ovulating and not eating. By breeding her it got her eating again.

Hope this helps,

Kyle
