Hey there just a question my gecko doesn't seem to be sick or uncomfortable but he has reduced the amount he normally ate by just over half he used to eat 10 plus mealworms a day ge ate only 4 this morning I have read that it could be just the change of season and abient temperature in apartment because he is a lot less active and he sleeps almost all the time but still can't help but be worried he just shed normally with no problems I'm new to the whole reptile hobby so I just need some reassurance thanks

I have a male that ate like a pig everyday and as he got older started eating less and less. Now he only eats about half a dozen crickets/mealworms a week. He still is maintaining his weight so I'm not worried.

From what I've seen the amount eaten can really fluctuates. I would not worry unless you actually see a shift in weight or something else that can be a symptom of a problem.
One of my geckos can eat about 20 crickets when shes really hungry, and then she just decided not to eat. that lasted a few days, and then she was back on track to being a little piggy.

If your feeding him everyday then somedays he is going to be a lot less hungry, just keep a record of his weight and you'll know when it becomes a problem.

My adult leo was quite thin when I got her, so she ate huge amounts for the first few weeks... She still has days where she wants more, but she has leveled off somewhat.

I notice a significant drop in her appetite around shed time.

I think every living creature has their own individual patterns... Some eat and eat, while others just eat when they are hungry...

I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds normal to me...
