Neo the Leo's WebCam

So over the past few months I've been doing quite a bit with my kids' school with regard to educating some of the little ones on the Darkling Beetle life cycle, Leopard Geckos, housing, husbandry, etc. This past weekend my Daughter noticed I had our old web cam out while rearranging the game room. Being the incredibly smart little angel that she is, she asked if we could put "Neo" on the internet so her and her classmates could see him from school. "Of course!" I exclaimed. What an awesome idea this would be!

I'm not sure how long I'll keep it online but for now, Neo the Leo can be seen, when he's out and about, on the WWW 24/7. If you'd like to have a look see, check 'em out HERE!

Weather today is quite gloomy so lighting is not the best. I'll have the Wife turn on the light shortly.

EDIT: I relocated the camera today so it should be much easier to catch Neo moving around now.

That's odd. I just checked on him and it's working fine for me. Others have stated that the site is being blocked by their office firewalls / proxies so you may be accessing it from within an environment which prevents streaming video from being displayed. If that's the case then I'm sorry. However, the cam is online and working fine at this time.

MY BAD! I had the y and the n reversed in the URL. I've updated the original post now. Should be good to go!

I think the idea is really cool. I just visited and I didn't see anything, it's ok. Must be sleeping in the log.

Cool though. I'll have to remember to visit once in a while and see if he's there moving around.

Yep...Neo spends most of his time in his log. I relocated the camera this morning before heading into the office. It should be much easier to catch a glimpse of him now.

I saw Neo! supercute and a great idea!

Thanks Metalie! Tonight I'll feed him around 6:30PM Eastern. Should be quite lively during that time.

Last night I brought the Neo the Leo webcam back online. It's currently setup to the left of his new Vivarium with the hopes this will provide the best view. Over the weekend I'll see what I can do to rig up some sort of mount so a view from the front of the enclosure can be provided.

FYI Most firewalls and filtering software will block this stream so if you can't see it, try it from a location other than the office.

That's actually my plan Pinky. I'm going to work out some sort of mounting system this weekend so it's easier to see what is actually going on. Then, I'd like to setup a schedule visible on the blog. If Neo will cooperate and eat when I want him to it should work out well. I'll update this thread with details as I have them.
