I heard from the vet that it is ok to use Neosporin on leopard geckos. My leo had a couple cuts in front of both her ears last week or the week before and I put neosporin on them; its been about a week or 2 and the cuts have healed, but where I put the medicine, it is a grayish color and doesnt feel like the normal skin. she fliches away from me when I touch it. Is this a cause of the medicine? or is it something else? Have you ever had a problem with neosporin on your leos?

I have always heard that Neosporin was fine for geckos when they get cuts or drop a tail. I believe the numbing/pain relief kind isn't good for them, though, it needs to be regular (and someone can correct me on that if I'm wrong). What you describe could just be the dead skin from what used to be there, can you take some pics? I wouldn't worry about it too much  but definitely keep us updated :main_thumbsup:

Sounds like just residual dead skin. My gecko had a deep bite wound on the leg a few months ago and neosporin worked great on it. The skin texture will always feel a bit different though because it is scar tissue.

Neosporine is great to use on leopard geckos. It just takes a very small amount. I have not heard anything good or bad about the Neosporine with pain relief. So I would assume it is just as good.
