Nervous mom and recovering appetite after shed...

I know, I know....I ask waaaaay too many questions, but I want to make sure everything is okay with my (daughter's) leo, Jackie!

He just shed Monday and tonight his appetite came back more...he just ate a couple crickets and mealworms last night; tonight he ate 4 crickets and 7 mealworms (more normal amount, but still a little low). What concerns me is that he hasn't pooped since before his shed. That would be about 4 days...normally he poops once everyday. Should I be concerned? He is on repticarpet and the temps have been good. I have been trying to handle him more...could I be overdoing it? Should I back off and see if he poops again? Am I stressing him out too much?

Thanks in advance...

curious but concernedKathy

Ps. I forgot to add that he didn't eat all of his shed this time either...

They don't always eat all of their shed. Are you sure he hasn't somewhere else? Is there any other loose substrate such as in a humid hide or something? Temps good? I don't think the handling should be doing too much damage, unless he is obviously not liking it.

He's not fond of being handled because he is trying to get down off my hand. I also try it more than once...maybe I should hold him just for a few seconds and put him down before he tries to get off? I did find that if I cupped my hands he stayed on longer, but maybe the picking up part is stressing him too much? Also, I feed him first then handle him...should it be the opposite way?

So many questions...grin
