Hey everyone... new here... just got a 55 gallon with one male albino, and 3 female jungles. Here's some pics of the aquarium. On the right hand side (underneath the slates I have a UTH) and underneath the plastic container is a heat rock. I have a light that is red on top and is about 50 watts. The left hand side of the tank is completely away from heat but I have some Eco Earth in the cave. Let me know of any suggestions you all may have. Instead of just getting rid of all of the sand I just bought, I put sheet rocks over the sand... for the most part it has covered up the sand with still having the "realistic" feel to it. Still, any suggestions on my heating, layout would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Many people will tell u to remove the heat rock because a lot of geckos will actually get burned from them. You can leave it in there as long as you unplug it. What at the temps at right now?

Yeah I have been told to remove it already but instead of just getting rid of a perfectly good heat rock, I put the plastic bin with eco earth in it and one of my females loves being in there. So they cant really get to the heat rock unless they climb in the plastic bin... you see what Im saying? I hope so. If you still think this is a bad idea let me know. I love suggestions. :main_thumbsup:
