I would like you all to meet Racer-
I need to take new pics as these are when I first got him about 3 months ago at around 4 months old
Racer fell into my life exactly as I wanted my next dog to do
He was found by the police roaming the city streets here when he was 2-3 months old and was taken in by a friend who posted him as lost/found and then for adoption after the period was over for anyone to claim him
After the loss of both my girls last year I was deeply depressed and I wanted a puppy but I wanted to provide a loving home to another dog that no one else wanted as was the case with all of my 3 other dogs
I fell in love with him at first sight and I think that he is a Heinz 57-maybe some German Shepard and the vet said some pit?
I don't think that he is going to be very large (around 35 lbs at 7 months ) but that is OK as I am getting up in years and I wasn't sure if I could handle another large dog
Whatever size that he ends up being is fine with me and i can see that he is still growing
Anyway with everything that is going on with my mother and all of the other insanity in my life-he brings a smile to my face and he loves to snuggle up in bed with me
I could have called him "shadow" as he is totally devoted to me and follows me around the house as I am doing chores etc and I am loving it-lol
I still have my 13 year old Blk Lab mix Snoopy-God Bless him- and they get along well as long as i don;t allow Racer to get too boisterous with Snoopy as Snoopy has a bad hip
I will be taking updated pics of the little darling soon
I can't tell you all how much happiness and joy that he has brought into my life at a time when i desperately needed it
Oh and both of his ears do stand up when he gets excited about something-lol

PS-the lavender harness came with him
He has since outgrown it and I replaced it with a nice black one-lol
