WE would like to know a lil bit more about our lavender ( Lucy) with yellow and spots ..what creates a lavender? and does she have Snow gene? or W/Y? sorry cant see too much lavender in this pic..ill post more pics asap
W/Y are still kind of rare and pricey so unless you paid a hefty amount for her (at least $300) she doesn't have w/y (plus she doesn't really look it. She could have snow, snows hatch white and black and can color up considerably as they grow. In order to know for sure you would need hatchling pictures or you would need to breed her (not recommended if you don't know her background) and look at the offspring.
From what I understand lavenders are not a color but a specific bloodline. A leo's color can appear more or less lavender based on the temperature they were incubated at or if they were kept at a cool temperature. It also fades as they grow. In order to claim you have a true lavender gecko you would need to know its lineage.
