I just got this albino baby Leopard yesterday, at first i had bought a UVA lamp but after reading around here and a couple recommendations to get an UTH i decided to get that instead. Now i got his tank all set up with a temperature probe burried behind where he usually sleeps. I put in an upside down whipped butter tub with a hole cut in the top and a damp paper towel in a corner of it (the tub is burried under the leaves in the corner), he hasnt really climbed on top of it yet to notice theres a hole so i dont know if he likes it or not.

sorry for the blurry pics, i turned off the flash to not blind the hell out of him so they didn't turn out too good.

Very cute

Just a note though, make sure he has two hides.
One on the cool side and one on the hot side so he can thermoregulate. The hot side hide can sometimes double as the humid hide

Thanks

I have the dry hide (the big rock) partially over the UTH, and in the back right corner is the moist hide with a hole cut on top and thats completely over the UTH. I think i read the moist hide is supposed to be on the warm side, so should i move the dry hide to the cooler side?

Yes, moving it to the cool side will be beneficial to the gecko.
They will often opt for the safety of being hidden, over the dangers of getting too hot, so by providing a hide on the cool side, he can move between heat and cool as he needs to and feel safe

Forgot to add, if you live in an area which gets cold, you may want to pick up a redlight bulb to use to raise the ambient temperatures, and back up the UTH.
Remember the UTH is going to only heat up the same amount, so if ambient temps are 78 and it heats to 91 that's good, but if the ambient temps are 68, the UTH will not get up to 91.

I did a little rearranging and cut a hole on the side of the butter tub so now he found his way into the moist hide and fell asleep. Thanks for the tip GeckoTrouble.
