It does look like an albino. Very nice little one, congrats!

That is a pretty big cage for her current size. There's nothing wrong with having a big cage at all, but it does look like she's a bit overwhelmed by all that open space. It could make her feel a little over exposed. Maybe a few more decorations would help her feel more comfortable. Obviously you want to make sure they're all lightweight, or that there's no possibility anything could crush the snake.

A moist hide would be perfect, just a tupperware with some damp moss for her to hide in.

I'm resisting the urge to get cornsnakes, I've already got enough kings and milks! :D

Yea I was thinking she looked mighty small for it. Its a 10 gallon.I will put some other things in it. The guy said it is 5 months old and he only fed it like twice. It ate 2 pinkies today. It will be fed 2 pinkies once a week now. Poor thing. I will get a better pic so you can see how skinny it is.

I'm a king and milk snake guy, so I don't have tons of firsthand experience with corns. To the best of my knowledge though, they are not especially difficult to get feeding. There's no excuse for feeding a snake only twice in the first 5 months of it's life.

If she ate twice today she's a survivor though. A good appetite is a sign of good health. I suppose you might want to wait a week to make sure she digests properly and it doesn't stress her digestive tract out after not eating much in her life. But generally once the snake poops, it's ready to be fed again. One breeder I know feeds every 4 days as a general rule.

This little corn is in good hands now, so just keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure she'll start putting on size and exploring her enclosure soon.

One more thing, are you feeding her live or frozen pinkies? I would highly suggest live pinkies at this point. This snake has been underfed, so she could really use the extra nutrients that live food provides right now. You can always feed her frozen later on, but I think live would really help her out for now.

Maybe if you move the hide over next to the water bowl she'll feel a little more sense of a home base there. She's probably like, "Man, I wanna go check out that hide, but I'm afraid to leave the safety of this here water dish".

I put 2 hides. One on each side. And the bowl is next to the log. It was a bit agressive at first but after eating I was able to handle it without being struck at. I think it was just hungry. I'm known for having VERY old animals.lol.so yes...it is in good hands now. I have a 17 year old border collie mix but she lives with my mom now. I have 3 cats that are 16,13,and 8 years old. I even had a 7 year old rat. So I will be keeping the little guy until it dies of old age.

Yeah that's not a bad idea. It's also best not to handle a snake after it eats. Give it 2-3 days to digest. Then you've got a day to handle it before feeding again.
