New baby...

This little one hatched early this morning.
The parents is Raptors...
When I looked at it a little closer I saw that the eyes don´t look the same as on the other Raptor hatchlings...I think that they must be very very dark red, but they look for sure black!

If it's Raptor X Raptor, the eyes should be red though...correct?

Congrats. Looks to be Albino for sure, I agree the eyes should be red, but they can be various shades. Incubation temp can affect the colors. They are probably a very dark maroon-type red. What temp. did this one come from? I am curious.

The amount of light you view them in, can affect what you see also.:inquisitive:

It´s hatched on 82,4...and yes, I agree.
They are probably just dark red...I will check it out better when the daylight comes here!

I have been looking at thoose eyes so my eyes are red

Now I have seen them in daylight and in sunlight and I can´t see any red...but I know it must be there...

If you want to find out more about the eyes, try to use a electric torch:
When you see a ruby shining, it's the red eyes of an raptor, but just very dark.

I agree, I can see a very dark pupil slit. I need to get some dark reds like that when I try for Raptors. Sweet!
