New baby!

Hello all, this is my first gecko, his (her?) name is Pocket. I'm very excited about my new friend and looking forward to reading up on other peoples geckos (I've been snooping about the site since a friend recommended it to me, but figured I'd finally say hi).

Just wondering is there a certain age I should wait until before I start adding crickets to Pockets diet? I bought some small ones the other day, but they looked bigger than his head so I was unsure he'd be able to gobble one up, but I watched him pounce some substrate that was settling the other day (he gave me that "what's the heck is this?" look and spat it back out). He's about a month old now and currently eats repashy that I'll mix with mushed banana on occasion to mix things up.
