New Breed Albino?

I was at the Toronto reptile expo on Saturday, and I noticed some geckos labelled new breed albinos. On the description it said they were bell crossed with tremper albinos. I know there is some controversy over breeding to separate strains of albino together. I was just wondering what the reason behind this is, and if this is an actual morph? Also I seen geckos labelled as bubblegum morphs what are those?

Thanks

no its not a new morph and it is very frowned upon. Read the muddy waters sticky at the top of this section and you will know why.

Ahhh yes. Another perfect opportunity.

And actually, you can read that whole quagmire and still not understand what the problem is. Bad record keeping has more to do with just albino strains. It's not like it creates any health issues or otherwise. Other genetics can muddy the waters in the same regards.

*runs away screaming before this thread even starts*

Who is the breeder? is there a name?

I wouldn't exactly call him/her a breeder if they irresponsibly and purposely (I'm assuming) crossed two albino strains and were displaying them at a reptile show.

I'm sorry, but hearing that "New Breed albinos" were displayed at a reptile show just angers me. If one doesn't have a complete understanding of leopard gecko genetics, what to breed and what not to breed, then he/she shouldn't be breeding!

It's real hard to repair a damaged reputation in the reptile circles. Customers talk to vendors about bad experiences with animals from others and how they won't ever buy from them again. And vendors talk with other vendors. The word gets out..........

Exactly. They aren't going to cull those animals. They are going to find them homes. The reason to not breed pet shop geckos
