I plan on being a leopard gecko breeder and the name of store/website Leopard gecko nation pet store www.leopard gecko.com NOT MADE YET. i need a slogan. SO any help?

Best help I could give you, is learn all you can about leopard geckos before you even buy one... Then learn even more than "all you can" before breeding them.

A year from that, after having your first successful breeding season, then start thinking about an online business.

Also remember that an online business is still a business, and requires a business license (and in some states such as FL a class 3 wildlife license, or other licenses) or else you are committing federal offenses (tax fraud/evasion, various animal laws, etc to name a few).

All of this costs money. Make sure you have lots of money to spend, and don't expect to make much money, especially not for the first few years (When you will spend quite a bit more money on your business than you can possibly make from it).

Reptile breeding is generally a hobby more than a business. There are few exceptions, but for most, it is definitely not a get rich scheme if that is what you are looking for.

If you have to come here for help even choosing a name, you are not ready.

well im not ready yet cause im only 12, but i think me thinking a lot of stuff about it why im young will give me a head start when im older. I have one leopard gecko and i think when i grow up it will be a good hobby,business. I know it will costs money and i will learn as much as i can before i make the business so wish me luck! If you keep that attitude and don't rush in it will be a fun adventure. best advice i can give you is to learn. This site is a hoard of knowledge and most everyone is willing to answer questions. Google is also your friend. Search leopard gecko breeding as well as leopard gecko care sheets and read all you can!

Well thanks cause i use to be on another website and they ridiculed me cause i told them i was 12 and someone told me that ill forget about it in about a week and move on. So thanks for being nice and giving me advice.

Well honestly at 12 YOU alone can not run a business. sorry.. it just cant be done..

However with lots of help and money from your parents you can do it. and make money. after about 3-5 years of producing nice animals and haveing awesome customer service its possible.

Your going to spend $1,000s the first few ye
ars and not make much of that back.
You dont become a leopard gecko breeder to make money you do it beacuse its something you love...


and EVENTUALLY if you have the right stuff you will be able to make some money.

Ok i want to start when im 17-early 20's. Just needed to clarify that. And yes it would be a little bit more money but that will take a long time and yes i would do it cause i love reptiles. Who knows, I could find a new morph! Well thanks!
