I have a 3 year old leopard gecko that currently is living in a 55 gallon aquarium(48in long).....I am looking at downgrading to a smaller setup and was wondering if this would be a good enclosure for 1 full grown gecko.....or if I should get one a little bigger....

It would probably suffice, but a standard 10 gallon would be cheaper and better(20$ normally, 10$ if you get one on sale), that tank is more suited for a juv crested gecko due to the height. A 10 gallon which is around 20" long is kind of a minimum though, a 20 gallon would make your leo much happier and not occupy much more space.

I set up a 15 gallon tank. Space was a issue where I wanted to set up my tank. A 15 gallon tank is only 24" long x 12" wide and 12" tall. Plenty of room for 3 hides and walking around room in my opinion and a lot cheaper than what your looking at.

Hope this was some help.

Just my opinion but i think that the tank your looking at would be a lot of money with not a lot of use, a twenty long tank is perfectly fine for one adult. I've seen nice new ones for around 40-50 bucks, or you could always find a deal on a used one on cl or a flea market.

What's the problem with keeping him in the 55 gallon? The more space the more options he will have.
