I finally got around to adding a caresheet of sorts as well as a morphs/genetics guide added to the Leopard Gecko page of my website, which was my main goal for winter break. Anyhow, I'd greatly appreciate some feedback on it, especially on the layout & visibility of the pages on different computers. I've probably spent close to fifty-some hours on it the last few nights, with digging through thousands of pictures on the HD and such.

Go to www.PaulSageReptiles.com and click on "Leopard Geckos" from the left menu - there's links to the two new pages. THANKS! :main_yes:

(oh, and don't be afraid to tell me I messed something up, because I haven't been sleeping much and probably made a few whoopsies. lol)

It´s a piece of art to do caresheets and even harder to do a morphs/genetics guide! And I must say that you have manage to be a really big artist...
Very very nice!!!

Thank you all very much! I appreciate you taking the time to check it out and leave feedback.

I'd like to add a few more pictures to the Morphs page yet, as well as a few more details to the care sheet, but I wanted to get it published asap to see where it was headed.

Paul,
It looks good so far. I like the way you have presented the information (history) of the morphs as opposed to just a visual example.

Wow!, Looks great! Out of sheer curiosity.... how long did that take you?~

WAY TOO LONG. :main_laugh: The text portion of both the caresheet and the morphs went pretty quick, but sorting through literally thousands of pictures, taking more pictures, cropping & adding the text info to the pics, exporting & uploading them... At first I was trying to get the morph page set up in nested tables but was running into issues with border formatting so that ended up being a waste of at least 3 hours.

If I had to guess, I'd say close to 50-60 hours. (hence why I wanted to get it done over Winter break! lol)

Very, very nice Paul! It was well worth the time you put into it. It's hard to find a good care sheet that I feel comfortable linking someone to when they're having trouble, but I will not hesitate to send anyone to your site for that info.

Thanks, Val! I'm hoping to add some more details to the care sheet in the future, but I want to finish the Fat Tail page too. I decided to take tonight off from working on the website though, so I finally watched "Snakes on a Plane". lol

I've put links to these pages on our site, it's great info.

PS - I'm not sure if I like you as much after that "Snakes on a Plane" comment haha. I'm just poking, but that movie looked awful haha.

LOL I never said I liked it, and yes it was pretty awful. Oddly enough I had a sudden urge to actually go handle all the snakes after watching it. Honestly, I thought it was pretty sad in terms of computer animation and special effects.

Thanks again for all the nice compliments--it's nice to know that after spending that much time on the material that it didn't turn out too bad!

It looks awesome Paul! I am definitely going to put a link to it on my site :main_thumbsup:

One thing, On the part where you describe the "Patternless" you put in an extra "is" in the second sentence.

This is morph is another simple recessive trait.

No problem! I didn't get to finish reading it yesterday, I will try to finish it today. But, what I read of it, I LOVED! Especially the genetics page, that is really awesome!

Hey Paul, I was looking through your Genetics sheet. I think it is awesome. I have one question/suggestion though. I think on your Mack Snow section, they should be listed as Incomplete-Dominate vs. Co-Dom. I think Incomplete Dominance best describes the Mack trait.

An example of Incomplete Dominance would be with Red and White flowers. When combined, it is a combination of both, Pink flowers.

I feel the same is with Mack Snows. The Het Version (Regular Mack Snow) seems to be a cross between a Normal and a Super Snow.

There is a pretty good thread about this on Fauna and one that dabbles into this on here.

Kyle, I've been wondering that for a while, and honestly I'm just going with the flow for the time being. I've wondered the same about some of the ball python morphs as well, since there exists a "super" form of them yet they're still called "co-dominant" morphs.

(and yes, I know I have a Bell Hybino labeled as just a Bell Albino... I haven't gotten around to changing that yet. lol)
