well from what i have heard that the males shake their tale to impress the female before mating. im not sure about the clicking noise tho, ill look into it and get back to you asap.

ok i just read the the shaking and the clicking could be caused by alot of stress, did she start making the noise when you put her with the male? or it could be URI (upper respitory infection) so my oppinion is to sepperate them verry soon, and if it stops its just stress, if the shaking and clicking continues bring her to a vet ASAP
hope i helped. Just want your leos to be happy :)

Thanks so much :) she has stopped now and they both seam to be ignoring each other i took the mail out for a bit so she could get used to her surroundings, he is back in now and he is just gone to sleep. she is just laying there looking around but she hasn't made the noise so i don't think it is an infection if she does it again tho i will be sure to get her to a vet straight away.

Thanks for the help !:D

Did you quarantine your new gecko before putting her with the other?

Yeah, that's what I was going to ask. Putting a new gecko in with your old gecko can be very dangerous, if the new one had a disease, now they both have it. Very expensive vet bill and danger to both animals. Are you planning on breeding them? Usually males and females should not be housed together

I agree with seperating them. But for a different reason.

I think you should seperate them because you clearly don't know enough about gecko's to even consider putting a male and a female together.
Why do people do this?... just because they have two animals of opposite sex, they stick em together and think they will mate and baby pop out.

LEARN HOW TO BREED BEFORE TRYING TO BREED.

(***ahem, sorry. Been a long day***)

Why do you have your mail in with your leopard gecko? Typically I keep my mail in one of several shelves depending on if its important business or tax mail. Just seems strange you store yours in the same cage as a live animal.

As for your female making clicking noises. . . geckos do make noises when they are either very angry or extremely scared. Most new additions to my collection make some kind of noise until they get settled in.

LMAO this just made my day!

Also, I agree with Jordan. Don't put a male and female together unless you're intending to breed AND know what you're doing. I've only had my leo since February and still consider myself a major noob even though I did a ton of research and preparation before getting her. And even after all that, I still wouldn't trust myself to be breeding them. I would feel like I need a college degree of some sort before doing that :D

my females do make a small click noise when they are breathing but as far as i know its normal as they all do it lolz

Ahh I dont think its normal for leo to have a clicking noise when they are breathing.Where did u get that info from? i have a large selection of leos and none of mine click when they breathe.I know a few of mine click when u pick them up on occasion but thats it.
