Hey all!!!!

Completely new to this forum and HOPING to make lots of new friends in this hobby and learn a lot from more experienced breeders. I am pretty excited I stumbled upon this group. I have been networking a lot through instagram but I knew a forum would be a better area to also network through and just drool at everyone elses stock/pets!!!

Well! My name is Niki, I'm 30, originally from PA, but I have been in NC for about 6 years now. This is probably my last year here, or at least in the county I am currently in .....AT the LEAST.

I have worked with genetics as a teenager into my adulthood, but soon after moving down to NC for family reasons, I realized it would be a very long time until I had pets again.... and I missed having animals around. I finally got into a place that allowed a cat, a dog, and any caged animals... JUUUUST what I was looking for!!!

I am starting out small, but I have 6 large PVC ball python enclosures that I got for pretty cheap from a ball python breeder who just got better cages and no longer wanted his PVC enclosures. I purchased these before I ever even purchased my first leopard gecko "Zeppelin". Then came the feeder crew, mealies and dubia roaches.

Then came my first purchase.... "Zeppelin" from EmberGecko (shtctb).... best purchase I have ever made on an animal for genetic hobby reasons HANDS DOWN!!!! I could not be happier with this geckos progress! Ever shed and he just looks more and more fantastic!

Then I aquired Suki in a sasobeck auction... (shtctb) she's amazing! Then not long after, three from Gecko Boa, Tygra (SHTCTB), Miso (dark project normal), and Jersey (mack snow).

My goal is to help perfect MY future line of SHTCTB's, and also fiddle with *for fun* (even if I just pop out a ton of normals) the "dark project". One thing at a time.... I am pretty excited about it all!

I cannot wait to start this upcoming breeding season!!!! Never bred reptiles before, but I am very familiar with incubators even though I am well aware hatching quail, chicken, geese, ducks, and turkey eggs is MUCH different than hatching reptiles... it's still exciting and fun for me and I cannot wait! Reptiles actually seem a lot easier!!!! :)

Anyhow, HELLO all, and I hope that over time I will get to know some of you well!!!!

Niki

Welcome, Niki! This forum has a great community full of experienced keepers and breeders, so I'm sure you'll find lots of help here. Not to mention lots of gecko-crazy folks to share pictures and stories. :)
