Got bored and decided to build myself a different gargoyle enclosure, wanting to move away from glass aquaria. I built it out of marine-grade plywood (3/4"),and screen panels. It measures 30"tall x 18"wide x 18"deep, with the front screen door set 8" above the bottom to allow plenty of substrate depth. I probably put 6 or 7 coats of poly on the inside, and stained the outside a nice dark cherry with brass hardware ( pull knob, hinge, and locking hooks). I just put the geckos in tonight, and they are scoping it out right now. I don't want to post pics until I have it totally setup the way I want it.i've already found the a nice crepe myrtle with great branch structure, just have to find time to sacrifice it. crepe myrtles work best because there's no bark for pests and parasites to hide in. just pop them in a freezer overnight, and you're ready to roll.
