new gecko activity

i just got my gecko yesterday, and he ate just fine, but tonight he wont and is in his warm hide just laying there with his eyes closed.
Is this normal? i know i just got him and hes stressed, but to be sleeping at 6:44pm?
just wana make sure because i know they are supposed to be more awake and moving at this time.
im pretty sure its because sprocket (my gecko) is stressed.
Is this correct?

yeah just give him time to get use to his new place mine took 3 days

They're nocturnal. Mine don't start moving around until 9 or 10pm. And he's just moved in to a new enclosure. He'll get settled, don't worry =)

Leopard geckos are crepuscular not nocturnal!
Settling in depends on the individual animal, sometime it could take a few days to even a few months. Just be patience and keep handling down to a bear minimum for a while until you gain its trust as it were.
One of my new females took nearly 6 months to settle in. she didnt eat, but didnt loose any weight and then all of a sudden she just turned into a gannet
