Ok guys so I finally go my first of 2 of my females (working on the second) for my 20 gallon tank. No i go her on Friday and handled her about 15 min a day (maybe) for the til today. I had her out on my sholder for about 30 min. And then I started to handle her and she was being a jumper/runner/worm. Then when I finally got her in my grasp she would open her mouth ALL the way open and keep it like that. She keeps doing this. She tried to bite me once but it didn't hurt. What's the deal.
First time feeding her is tonight, getting some mealworms. Also she seems very hyper active but I think it's just cuz she is in a new place and not used to being handled.

Info:
BHB Super Hypo Tang
Weight: 28 grams
Age: Supposedly 1 yr

Also if needed:

4 hides (hot, cool, middle and humid)
Basking lamp
Hot side floor temp - 93-95
Hot side Ambient temp - 88-90
Middle Ambient - 84
Cool side floor temp - 80
Cool side Ambient temp - 82
Humidity is 20-22%

Could be that she's just scared, and/or a hot female. We have a SHTCT female that is HOT and acts like that when handled, so, she rarely gets handled as a result. All geckos have different personalities, and sometimes you end up with one that just doesn't dig being held. :S Sorry.

Try leaving her alone for the first month or so to let her settle in and see how she acts after that. It varies how long people leave the geckos alone when they first get them but I leave them alone as much as possible for at least 2 weeks-1 month. HJ aka GeckoGathering has a thread on how to befriend geckos. So after a few weeks of letting her settle in start trying to implement those techniques HJ uses and see if she warms up to you. :) It has taken some geckos up to a year to get used to me coming in and out of the room but it's worth it once they get used to you and come out to see you(or the food you have haha). Patience is key! Good luck :)
