So, I am new to leo's, but I have owned other reptiles before.

My question about the new girl i just got is, I know that the first week or so an animal might be trying to get used to its new environment, and may exhibit strange/ fearful behavior, but my new Leo has done almost nothing but circle her 20L tank looking for a way out. Hasnt been interested in food for the past day or so, (but has munched on some calcium dust) which i could understand. But if she was nervous, wouldn't I expect more hiding than anything else?

It's not uncommon for her to not eat the past day or so while she is getting use to her surroundings... Every time I clean Echo's tank and put her back in she walks around in circles for awhile like she's making sure everything is where it's suppose to be lol.

I may be wrong but she is probably just checking everything out and getting use to it... Has she been hiding at all?

She's pretty, looks like a bigger version of my Echo.

She's probably just a bit stressed. I'd just let her be and see how she is the next couple days, she should chill out after a while... Hopefully someone will come on with some more experience if I'm wrong, but I'm betting she just needs some time.

Yeah I normally don't handle a new leo for at least a week, my girl just stayed hidden the whole week, but another one stayed out and about trying to climb walls, she should settle in and do just fine.

This. With all the new surroundings and smells and everything, the leo is very stressed, which can manifest itself in different ways. It's not a good idea to add more stress by handling too for at least the first week - longer if it takes longer for her to settle in.

What are your temps? Hot side and cool side on the floor. How are you measuring the temps? How do you heat the enclosure? How do you regulate the heat source? How many hides does she have and where are they at?

EDIT - When leos exhibit this type of behavior it means that their enclosure is too hot or too cold, or they don't have enough decor in their tank to explore. Something is off.

I dunno. Ozy did that for the first day I had her.. She was in a 10 gallon. I switched to a 20 gallon long and put more stuff in there, she stopped doing it right away.. But, ok. Hope all goes well. :)
