Hi,
I just joined this forum because I've been having some issues with my new gecko. I'm a first time gecko owner but have friends who are experienced breeders advising me. However, I'm pretty worried and want some other opinions. So I got a juvenile (age unknown) from +++++ exactly three weeks ago. I thought that he was just thin because he was a juvenile but I did some research and it appears he is way too skinny.
Cage: 10 gallon, "carpet" substrate, heat pad on one side, IR lamp on hot side, hot temps between 85-92 and cool side around 73-75 (room temp). He has a black hide box, clear feeding dish, water dish, and moist dirt hid box on the warm side that he goes in a lot.
Food:
So in general, how do I get my gecko healthy? He's so skinny and doesn't like to eat. His skin is pretty dull and looks wrinkled around his abdomen. I've attached some pictures I took when I handled him once. Sorry for the long post, any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
