New Gecko - Need ID

I just bought this gecko from someone on Craigslist and I'm so glad I bought it. It was in a ten gallon tank with about 20 adult crickets that were way to big for it to eat and they were eating some very dried out pine twigs and trying to eat the gecko and the floor is covered in cricket poo. The girl said that it is a house gecko but I want to make sure.

yeah, looks like a house gecko, pretty old one if that pic was really taken in 2007!

Thanks, the pic was taken today. I don't set the date on my cameras

EDIT: I gave it some roaches but they went under the substrate. Should I change it over to paper towels?
