I just got this little one home yesterday but I'm not sure what it is. Can anyone help?

I guess it's a tough one lol. The closest thing I've seen to what this one looks like is a Mack Snow but I don't know if I'm that lucky. I bought it at pets-mart which I wouldn't normally do but my girlfriend works there and does a good job with the reptiles that come into her store. Plus, it was $20 and she had a 30% discount on everything. They usually just get normals in but this one is obviously not a normal. Any ideas?

i'm not a breeder or anything but i just don't think it's a normal. it was with a lot of other normals and looks nothing like them. it is a lot more white than yellow. these pics were taken with a phone and i can't seem to get a really good pic with it. i guess i will know for sure when it gets older. thanks though.

Looks a little mack snow-ish to me too? But it would help to have better pix. Keep us posted with updates as he grows :)

could be a mack snow but also could be a normal. some normals are lighter than others, and some macks are more yellow just depends, if it was younger like closer to hatchling size without the bands breaking up on it it would be easier to say what it is. Now testbreeding is the only way to know for sure.

there was another gecko in with him that was very similar in color and had solid black bands but less spots. if that matters lol.

I'm pretty sure the snow gene is a co-dominant gene "Co-Dominant: a trait that can be passed on by either one or both parents and be visible in the first generation of offspring. Co-Dominant traits can also yield a "Super" form if inherited from both parents Mack Snow & Mack Super Snow are co-dominate morphs that reduce or eliminate the yellow and orange color seen on many Leopard Geckos. Mack Snows can be black and white, although some specimens show varying degrees of yellow after having been out-crossed. Mack Super Snows are characterized by their unique, high contrast black and white pattern and their solid black eyes. This pattern does not present itself on a hatchling Leopard Gecko, but usually develops within a month or so. Hatchling Super Snows are similar in appearance to blizzards. The Super form can be thought of as a recessive trait, since both parents must contribute a Mack Snow gene to produce Mack Super Snow offspring"

Here is a great link that goes into wonderful detail about the different morphs http://www.paulsagereptiles.com/LeopardGenetics.htm

You can read up on it in the genetics section of the forum. It also looks to me like a mack snow or maybe a high yellow but I am def. NOT a genetics wizard altho I do own a mack snow.
